I just compared most of my teleconverters, so I could choose which ones to use with my 300/2.8. The best two were fine wide open. They became excellent one stop down from wide open. The TC's were tested on a Tokina 300/2.8 AT-X manual focus lens. Note: none of them except the Albinar caused any
