Something else that can spice up the shots like these is to shoot
very wide (16mm on your lens) and pre-focus, hold the camera high
over your head and shoot down. Totally different angle. I use this
technique quite often in weddings. Here are a couple of examples:

gone with the flash bounced off the ceiling, shooting close to ambient. (Which
