I would suspect that it contains less plastic and hence takes longer
to adapt to temperature changes (maybe also more glass where it hurts,

My worst one for this is the FA100 macro; it's an aluminium brick, and
has a lot of thermal inertia.
Gravitational lenses don't have these issues but they're insanely hard
to carry and keep shape around... and I haven't seen any K mount black
holes yet

I spent the afternoon up west. As the daylight faded and the lights came on
there was a flurry of snow. I only had my phone camera with me, but it has a
nice random quality about the timing - it takes 1, 2 maybe 3 seconds for the
shutter to fire after I've pressed the button, so I never quite know
