It really does Stan. A few years back I took the ferry trip on my way to Road
America - sure was a relaxing way to get there - not having to battle with the

Update on the external drives:
I ordered a Seagate 2TB drive from OWC, mounted it inside the Mercury Elite Pro
mini enclosure, and used Time Machine to make a backup.
I erased the defective drive, copied the backup to it, and set Time Machine to
back up to both. So far, so good.

Just over a year ago I posted about the failure of my Subaru CVT
transmission, and appreciated the advice I got here.
Yesterday I received a notice from Subaru that they have retroactively
extended the warranty on the CVT's to 10 years / 100K. The letter
included a claim form to get reimburse

manufacturers are extending their warranties (in SA, 7 years; 200 000 km has
now become the norm). They are all desperate to keep their market share.
