Yes Ken, you are right. The problem is being in the right place during those hours. The big rivers are over 50km from the Phalaborwa Gate so we would have to be staying in a camp to get there at those times. Entrance gates open somewhere around sunrise, camp gates an hour earlier. All close

Thanks, Bob. Ostrich farming has spread to the whole country now. It used to be confined to the Karoo. BTW, there are even some Rheas on game farms around here. Kruger is so expensive for overnight stays now, we only do day trips. 300km in a day is about the limit. July to October when the

Thanks, Dan. Very perceptive of you to realize the Olifants River scene was a Pano. At this time of the year the bush is so thick that normal game viewing becomes impossible. We only saw 2 Ellies but there was tons of dung on the roads. Plenty of Impala about with this year's crop of lambs
