True. However, there were also Eritrians called "Ascaris" attached to
the Italian forces in East Africa during WW2 . My late father fought
against them. The Italians were eventually driven out  the SA forces
advanced into Egypt. Thanks for looking.

I don't need the ink, I'm using a Canon, (insert boom joke here), but I
had a similar experience a few years ago with a package sent by USPS.  I
watched as my package left Tennessee, was sorted in Atlanta, shipped to
New York, got to Connecticut, and then for some reason was returned to
Tennessee, moved around various USPS facilities there for about five or
six days, was apparently put on a plane and flown directly to
Connecticut and delivered the next day.  I actually showed the tracking
page to a USPS employee and they couldn't explain why it happened.

B did their job...the printer was ordered on Aug 24 and shipped via
FedEx on Aug 25, with expected delivery on Aug 27.  By the 27th the
tracking showed it in transit in Chicago with a new delivery date of
Aug 28.  FedEx tracking continued to show it in transit in Chicago for
the next *five* days; why they had it roaming around the city of
Chicago for that length of time I have no idea.  I was finally able to
contact a real person at FedEx on Aug 31 to investigate and also asked
B to intervene as the shipper.  The printer finally arrived this
afternoon by courier. Needless to say, FedEx shipping and delivery
performance was less than stellar.

So...is anyone on the list printing with an R2000?  I have some new

Re: OT: DEVASTATING WEATHER

2021-09-02 Thread Rick Womer
Philadelphia was relatively spared yesterday. I watched the weather radar
frequently, and we had only moderate rain while areas to the east and west of
us got torrents.

We’re feeling the effects of the torrents to the west of us today, though. The
Schuylkill River runs through the city and the rain to the north and west is
way over flood stage, and it’s expected to continue rising through tomorrow.
Many roads in and around the city are closed (including the main expressway
through town), and many neighborhoods along the river flooded. The Delaware
River is the city’s eastern boundary, and it is already at flood stage and is
still rising.

of fire and ambulance sirens this morning. Many flooded streets; cars
washed into the streams. A house explosion in Somerville, about 5 miles
