Re: April PUG is up

2022-04-05 Thread David Mann
Thanks, Ann. I almost didn't participate until I had a spare moment to have a
deeper look in my photos drive.

I wish I'd taken a photo many years ago of a blue Ferrari I saw with the custom
plate "Y B RED". If I had, I'd have used it just to be contrary.

Cheers,
Dave

We went to one last year but there was no 3D add-on for us. Well worth going,
I enjoyed it a lot.

Re: OT: Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit

2022-04-05 Thread Richard Dell
I went to the exhibit in Atlanta last year.

It was well worth attending, I wished I had more time (spouse was not as
fascinated).
Being surrounded by the images, with computerized animations and transitions
was fair overwhelming, I though. An example of the animation as farm fields
with the tractors actually moving across the field,

One thing, if you go to one, is to be sure to do the add-on 3D goggle session,
very interesting feeling like you are alive (with being able to look around,
swiveling your head) in a fictional village where Van Gogh might have painted
over a half dozen of his paintings.

The whole exhibit was not timed, so no rush.

It's supposed to open here in Raleigh in the near future. There were
apparently some problems finding a space & the opening was delayed.

My personal favorite s David's Lunar Eclipse..  (lovely to look at, not
just because it is not very red)

It is clear that you guys really like the color red...

I just don't like red  that very intense bright red  .. and a couple of

took photos of them were pointing out the homeliness with a wry wink..

Great gallery with a bunch of fine images.

Bruce's tractor reminded me of working in my grandfather's tobacco field
as a kid and Marco's clever rendition of the stop sign reminded me of
this song by Nervous Norvus from 1956.

For those on the list younger than 75...until the 1950s stop signs were
yellow.  
