The young woman in the left background appears to be in period French costume. I'm guessing a dinner theater production of Les Miz. Re: PESO - Before the Revolution
Obviously you've never worked in a restaurant. The class structure within the establishment is considerably more rigid than that between the wait staff and the public. Re: PESO - Before the Revolution
I guessed that you may have implied that, but it seemed to be a bit too radical reading of it. So, I was not sure if there were more to it (e.g. a reference to a particular historic event/situation/movie/...). Hence the question. While I appreciate and enjoy the literary abilities of Frank, the photo doesn't look as dramatic or even tense to me. I don't see anything showing the richness. This could've been at a catered family wedding, company party, or even at a Sunday brunch buffet at a restaurant with outdoors seating. While the attendees are more likely to be in the middle class, I don't think that necessarily suggests some sort of disdain. I've seen some people for whom the pose with the hands behind the back like this is a normal relaxed pose that helps avoiding stooping/slouching. But again, Frank's/Marco's spin is also possible, but it would be more convincing with some additional context. Nice photo with a very smooth tonal range, how did you convert this? Re: PESO - Before the Revolution
Thanks, Attila. The conversion was done with a BW adjustment layer in Photoshop, some levels adjustment and a final application of wide-radius unsharp masking for local tonal enhancement. - Marco On Sep 23, 2014, at 5:15 AM, Attila Boros wrote: Nice photo with a very smooth tonal range, how did you convert this?
