True, I used it 'back in the days' on the LX, and thought it was BIG.

However, in evaluating my FF options now, and looking at it,
it really is not that big :)

Feels really solid, and a bit heavy. But a very nice lens!

I have a few MF ones lined up for the K1 now (but will not buy one right away):

 A 15mm, f/3.5
 K 50mm F/1.2
 A* 200mm f/4 macro
 A* 300mm f/2.8 (plus L converters)

plus several other K, M and A ones.

Then a few nice FA:

 FA* 24mm f/2
 FA* 85mm f/1.4
 FA* 200mm f/2.8
 FA* 400mm f/5.6

And the FA limited set of three ...

At least half of those have hardly been used on APSC, so looking forward to the
K1!

Regards, JvW

I had one of those, used a lot on film cameras, less on digital. Works
great, but it is such a big lens.

It is, but the new digital lenses are also huge. The 15-30 zoom weighs

Indeed. But a fast FF zoom (2.8) is expected to be a beast. The big
question is if it will perform accordingly to its weight and price.

I never got into AF until I started buying lenses for digital, and then
everything was DA lenses for the small sensor. I completely skipped over
auto focus film cameras because at the time my focus (I know) was on
large format photography.

What's the big one, 3d from the right in back?

A15/3.5. I'm embarrassed to say I was surprised to find it. I bought it
just before it was discontinued (mine was custom built for me by
Pentax), and I've only used it a few times as I bought the DA 14/2.8
very shortly afterwards.

I had forgotten I owned it.

I decided to dig out a few lenses that haven't seen the light of day for
many, many years. One thing led to another, and I emptied my camera bag,
and took a few lenses out of the display case.

So I lined em up, and shot em down, then I did some cringe worthy post
