It seems babies come in their own time :D I hope you're doing plenty of
knitting.

Ours was due within a few days of my birthday so I was hoping to transfer it to
her. If it's her birthday instead of mine, I won't get any older. She
apparently had different plans.

Thanks for the wishes everyone, it's an exciting and scary time and I'm anxious
to get back to the hospital.

Cheers,

Most places give you a few days to settle on a name, but don't wait too
long. I once met a fellow who was in his late 20s & was stuck with the
name "Boy" because his parents waited too long.

Tell mama I said congratulations & tell baby I said "Happy Birthday!"

It's a nice photo of a couple of men who clearly get along.

The fact that I can see some audience members smiling as well helps
the image.

If I could change anything (and I can't!) it would be to get more
separation between the man on the left's mouth and the trees behind
him - but I don't think there is any post-processing which could help
that without wrecking the photo.

The story as you describe it seems to be well-told with this photo.

Tim,

I like the photo, and it clearly conveys the story. I'm not so keen on the

had a light leak on the right side of the frame. The whole thing could use

Re: PESO - Bonding in public

2008-07-30 Thread Tim Øsleby
Thanks Rick. This is valueable input.

The rendering could have been better, I agree on that.

The problem is a result of a high contrast situation. The two men in
shadow, and the crowd in the background in direct sun. Parts of the
crowd are totally blown out. And I need a hint of the smiling faces in
the crowd to make the picture work.
So the rendering is basically an attempt to lower the contrast,
without loosing to much details in the important parts. Your comment
suggests I failed.

I'll see if I'm able to get more out of the frame.
