Re: Second Photo of the Day by WWF - "Rangifer tarandus"
Thanks Stan, - I pretty sure my days of lugging that combo around are over - maybe out to the car but that's it. I captured several 'once in a lifetime' images during that stay at Denali. I hope to return, but the 600mm will definitely not be with me. The bear shot, the caribou shot, or the fact that you hiked, in the bush, for several hours with a camera body on a big mother 600/4.0 lens on a big mother tripod. All three are remarkable! And the time spent was obviously well worth it. Its from my last visit to Denali, my first outing with the *istD. I had gotten it just a few weeks before the trip and I recoreded most of its first shots in Denali along with an MZ-S as backup. Thanks to all who looked and commented. Just show you that 6Mp can be quite enough. I've had 12 X 19 inch prints made from file captured with the *istD and have been very pleased with them.
