Thanks Stan, - I pretty sure my days of lugging that combo around are over - 
maybe out to the car but that's it.
I captured several 'once in a lifetime' images during that stay at Denali. I 
hope to return, but the 600mm will definitely not be with me.

I am not sure which is more impressive. The bear shot, the caribou shot, or the 
fact that you hiked, in the bush, for several hours with a camera body on a big 
mother 600/4.0 lens on a big mother tripod. All three are remarkable! And the 
time spent was obviously well worth it.

Its from my last visit to Denali, my first outing with the *istD. I had 
gotten it just a few weeks before the trip and I recoreded most of its first 
shots in Denali along with an MZ-S as backup.

Just show you that 6Mp can be quite enough.


I've had 12 X 19 inch prints made from file captured with the *istD and have 
been very pleased with them.
