I would speculate that it has happened because it was one of the most frequently used directories on the disk. With that, when the glitch happened, something was writing to the directory, and hence the directory was corrupted. I assume all your image files were in subdirectories, and not in

In my experience, right angle finders are rarely much use other than for doing flat-art copy work on a copy stand or low angle work with a long lens on a low tripod. You have to get your eye too close and the angle just right for them to work properly, which doesn't help much when you're

actually, no... though thanks for the thought. I had one years ago... I found it a bit of a PITA..   The flipout with the live viewworked for me with the Canon not just for the studio stuff but outside too.. I just have to figure out how to sell the K5 but not deliver it until I get the K-70

Oh yeah. SR works in movie mode on the K-5 too. That alone makes up for the lack of manual mode IMO. For the most part you can get away with autoexposure and exposure locking when appropriate. The files are huge and it only records for 5 minutes, but 80mbs is much better than the 18 or so the K-3

My K-5 IIs is still getting regular constant use and to be honest I prefer its IQ over the K-3 somewhat except in the best light. At night that camera is a handheld beast though I will concede that the SR is a little better on the K-3. Still I can get down to 1/6th or more pretty easily depending
