just checked with OWC live chat, the wording of the item is a bit
different but will fit the machine. Now if only our dollar was not at
$0.76 :-(

Sorry my apologise's it says i have 4 slots two are taken with 2 gig
ram each. I was going to just add two more at 2 gigs each but maybe
io'll go to 4 gig
My old 2007-era iMacs (still running two of them) have two slots but
for weird hardware reasons can take a 4G SIMM in one slot and a 2G
SIMM in the other for a total of 6G RAM -- the upper limit. Sp Larry's
guess is a reasonable one.
That's what I found out with OWC docs and did the upgrade
He has only two slots, so I figure it's either 8 gigs or 16.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he was limited to 12G.

Exactly. I exceeded the Apple limit by quite a bit in my last laptop. I
wouldn't be surprised if Dave could go 16 gigs for a reasonable price.

They will even say how much memory will *really* work in your computer,
even if Apple specs it out as much lower.

I'm pretty sure that it will use any DDR3 non-buffered ram meant for a
PC, (not server ram, that's different even thought the edge connectors
can be the same).

I'd looked at the Pipermail archives, but they only go back to 2003?
Which is the year after I left PDML before.
Today I discovered the mailman archives which go all the way back. Wow
what a trip down memory lane. Haha, I was so young back then.
