Re: Bicycle sculpture
Yeah, its not very clear about the dates/length. This website however, seems to imply that it will be here about a year, so leaving around June I'm guessing: https://www.wallercreek.org/archive/major-works-chinese-artist-political-activist-ai-weiwei-coming-austin/ On Mon, Feb 19, 2018 at 8:53 PM, Igor PDML-StRwrote: > > Thanks! > We might take a look at it if we make it to that part of the town before the > installation is removed (if it would be, as you mentioned). > > We've been to that part of the city quite a few times since last summer, > but I didn't know about it. > > As far as I can tell, it started last summer, even though these people > are bad at specifying the year: > https://www.wallercreek.org/event/public-opening-ai-weiweis-forever-bicycles/ > I am guessing they are not thinking about eternity... :-) > > > Igor > > > Gonz Mon, 19 Feb 2018 14:01:52 -0800 wrote: > > Thanks Igor. Thanks! We might take a look at it if we make it to that part of the town before the installation is removed (if it would be, as you mentioned). We've been to that part of the city quite a few times since last summer, but I didn't know about it. As far as I can tell, it started last summer, even though these people are bad at specifying the year: https://www.wallercreek.org/event/public-opening-ai-weiweis-forever-bicycles/ I am guessing they are not thinking about eternity... :-) Igor Gonz Mon, 19 Feb 2018 14:01:52 -0800 wrote: Thanks Igor. Re: Bicycle sculpture
I can see that (um, so to speak) .. But I prefer it to the other despite the op art eye pain but in the second the background isn't split between the building and the sky... If you could place yourself in a position where behind the work it was dark throughout that might be the best yet. ann On 2/19/2018 4:27 PM, Richard Klein wrote: I prefer the sky behind you, with the building as the background.
