Hi all, in modern Cloud environment is now almost essential to support PROXY protocol version 1 (and 2) in order to bypass the limitation in terms of losing the source IP of a customer trough global balancers.
Is there any plan to have this support in PowerDNS recursor in order to have PowerDNS capable to grasp the original source IP of a customer? If not any suggestion if there is a way to use LUA scripting on the ipset chain to do that and pass to the resolver? At least with PROXY protocol version 1 (that is text only) there are C functions able to do that work: one is at the bottom of this page http://www.haproxy.org/download/1.8/doc/proxy-protocol.txt Thanks in advance for any support!
