List, Yesterday I received an email from Holly Zellweger, the daughter of Shea Zellweger, her father having died this year on August 7th. It included an announcement of a memorial service to be held this October 15th at 2pm in the Mount Union Dewald Chapel in Alliance, Ohio.
Holly requested that I post the announcement and Professor Zellweger's obituary to Peirce-l. I did not know Zellweger personally, but knew of his development of the X-stem Logic Alphabet (XLA) -- an extension of Peirce's box-X notation according to the article linked to above -- and his contributions to semiotic.
