Dear list,

I am currently reading the text “peirce’s logic of vagueness” of Phillys Chiasson. This text I regard as excellent, also because the logic of vagueness of CS Peirce intrigues me a lot. Would like to know where I can find this logic of vagueness in Peirce’s own texts.

What I am also thinking about now, is what the difference or possible overlap might be between the following notions:

1)       Objectively and subjectively general signs

2)       Sinsign and legisign

It is just some question I would like to have clear for myself, but did not read about these notions in Peirce texts till now.

Besides this, I am wondering whether CS Peirce also happen to refer to the notion of “phronesis” in some of his texts or notions. Fact is this term of Aristotle was mentioned on some other discussion list I am enlisted to, and I am also very interested in this notion.

Kind regards,

Wilfred Berendsen
