But the question does remind me of a nice story. A few years back, as I remember, there was a graduate student here at the University of Texas who was writing his dissertation with David Kendrick. The subject was a planning model for the steel industry in Mexico. Once the model was built and running, the student, just for grins, used it to see what would be the best strike strategy for the steelworkers to shut down the whole industry.
