Tony Blair is currently presiding over the total 
  Clintonization of the Labour Party.  Despite this, he 
  is not popular with British women.  So what does Tony

There's an item in today's (Sunday's) New York Times on how British 
politics is becoming increasingly Americanized. It contains this curious 
passage:
  
"When Mr. Blair accused Mr. Major of introducing class differences into the 
race, he called it 'totally American-style negative campaigning.'"
  
Uh, 1) why is Major the first to introduce class into the campaign, 2) how 
did he do it, and 3) has Blair taken the Labour Party that far to the right 
that class is utterly verboten?
