Dear Penners,
Most of us are U.S. based and very much interested in hearing from progressive
economists based elsewhere. It is thus exciting that Pedro Paez has just joined
us. Pedro lives and works in Ecuador, is trained in Marxist theories of
economic development, and is particularly well-placed to share with us Latin
American perspectives on issues such as dollarization. I hope Pedro will be an
active participant, and look forward to a new perspective on many of the issues
we've been discussing.
