Not the official line - which is that the Government persists with its
policy. But Michael White and colleagues are perceptive reporters.
Most interesting IMO in this report is the evidence of angry cracks at the
top of the government which led to a promise of further votes in the
Commons, in which the rebellion could be even larger.
