tried it and works like a charm! and to answer my own question, no it
doesn't get hidden behind the tabstrip.

perl56.dll file included. I guess that is the problem.
The new binary is now totally freestanding, i.e. it includes the perl56.dll

I had the same problem. My workaround was to sim
emacs/xemacs has this feature builtin as imenu. also in speedbar.
