What parts of Tk are you having trouble understanding? I only know Perl Tk, but I do know that it is _extremely_ powerful. There are a few counter intuitive (for me) constructs, but once you catch on to the syntax things aren't too bad. I don't know if any of the other GUI's are more powerful,
