LEADERSHIP FOR ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
LEAD (Leadership for Environment and Development) is a unique international training program and its mission is to create and sustain a global network of leaders who are committed to promote change toward patterns of economic development that are environmentally sustainable and socially equitable. Global in its scope, LEAD International presently encompasses 12 National and Regional Members, including LEAD Indonesia.
LEAD provides a multicultural learning environment in which knowledge of environmental issues is combined with skills development in the areas of conflict management and negotiation, public presentation and team building. Every year each National and Regional Member program selects up to 15 participants or Associates for a training program carried out in conjunction with their respective current employment. The training program consists of 16 weeks spaced over a period of 2 years. Of those 16 weeks 4 are conducted in different locations abroad.
LEAD Indonesia is now recruiting outstanding candidates and will select 15 promising young professionals from the public or Government sector, from the private or corporate sector, from the sector of non-profit or non-governmental organization (NGOs), from the academic and research sector and from the media.
The candidates should meet the following requirements: To be at least 25 years of age and not older than 40 by July 1999 Hold a university degree (S1) or its equivalent Proficient in both oral and written English A citizen and a permanent resident of Indonesia Have at least 3 years of experience in the field or career of choice Pass a written essay test, an English proficiency test and an interview
