Thanks for the reply Steph. It was the color of the wings that led me away
from webbing clothes moth. I would describe these moths as grey/brown with
an almost metallic quality. However, given the great variety in the living
world there may be webbing clothes moths that are grey.

but I recently increased the number of traps in this location so time will
tell.

Thanks Alan and Dan,
I should have done a little research on springtails before putting
that suggestion out there. It could be a moth but I would be surprised if
the wings were in very bad shape because that trap was empty 2 weeks ago.
The drain fly was not near a bathroom or any kind of water so

Thanks for the follow through Dan and checking with your colleague. I guess
I was fixated on "ant" because that is what I was expecting to catch when I
laid the trap and I know some carpenter ants have wings.
