All:

While I recognise that too much direct advertising for anoxic systems has
crept in to this list, I have to agree with Colin's plain statement. I
might rephrase his comments as:

If data is hard to find regarding successful use of anoxia at levels above
0.5%, you will have two options:
1. do the research (onerous, expensive, and time consuming, especially to
match the data on lower levels already in the public from the Getty and
many, many others)
OR
2. follow Colin's implicit advice, and find a system that will readily
achieve levels below 0.2%. (not hard to find)

It's obvious that there are many of us with effective anoxic systems
(using generators, humidity control, oxygen scavengers, CO2, argon,
nitrogen, etc.) more than willing to help you out. Sometimes we may get a
little over passionate, but no one in this business expects to make his
fortune on anoxia in museums, I think I speak for all the suppliers when I
say that generally we are more interested in working with cultural
artefacts (and their minder's) than we are in making a big profit (we do
like profits, when we can find them).

Passing on advice in a forum is always a challenge. Doing this when you
have a product to promote is a slippery slope. Please continue to let us
know when we are slipping too far.
