Hi,
When I run a code in debug mode with -log_summary, there is no problem.
However, in optimized mode, I encounter error Caught signal number 11
SEGV: Segmentation Violation, probably memory access out of range
It happens at :
call PCDestroy(pc_semi_x,ierr)
Is there any reason why it works
Dear Petsc users and developers,
Could you please inform me that how can I use the out-of-core version of
MUMPS via PETSc to solve Ax=b ?
Thanks in advance
Zhengyong

before using
KSPsolve() ? I know exactly the initial guess x0 would be from other packages.
Do you have an example for that?
Thanks,
Jinquan

Hi,
I'm doing a log summary for my 3d cfd code. I have some questions:
1. if I'm solving 3 linear equations using ksp, is the result given in
the log summary the total of the 3 linear eqns' performance? How can I
get the performance for each individual eqn?
2. If I run my code for 10 time
this error if I just run the code in debug mode without valgrind.

Dear all,
I am doing an investigation on the fastest 'Forward backward solver'
among available sparse direct solvers. I am reading on comparison
report, dated 2005, namely,
A numerical evaluation of sparse direct solvers for the solution of
large sparse, symmetric linear systems of equations

If I understand correctly, the first step to running SNES ex62.c is to create
the header file, however:
$ $PETSC_DIR/bin/pythonscripts/PetscGenerateFEMQuadrature.py dim order dim 1
laplacian dim order 1 1 gradient $PETSC_DIR/src/snes/examples/tutorials/ex62.h

Before using EPS, try something like this and see if you get the same error:
call MatGetVecs(A,v,w,ierr)
call MatMult(A,v,w,ierr)
