[This could be bad, bad, news] Google is about to launch a Gmail web redesign

        Google sent an email to G Suite customers to tell them that
        the company has been working on a brand new version of Gmail
        for the web. In addition to a fresh design, the company also
        listed some of the new features ...

Oh goody! Will anyone bet against me that Google will manage to turn
the crucial Gmail web interface into a low contrast mess that is
another kick in the teeth for anyone with aging eyes or less than
perfect vision in other ways? Why do I say this? Because virtually
every recent G redesign has been seemingly plotted to tell that
rapidly growing category of users to go to hell. Will Google surprise
me this time and not do this? That would be dandy. But like I said,
are you willing to take that bet?
