during the connection but when I open a database (or perhaps also when I refresh
one ?). This problem does not appear when I'm using a 8.1 database locally (on a

Recently, I upgraded my OS from RH8 to Fedora.
This implicitly upgraded my database to PG7.4.6
from PG7.2.X.
Due to this I am unable to use the existing database,
since starting postmaster with the same Data gives an
initializing data dictionary error (Incompatible
