I'm struggling with the methods of user authentication that Postgre uses.
I would like to be able to use the /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow file to
authenticate users. That way users could easily control their own
passwords by telnet-ing in to the machine.
I've tried the following line in my

I now switched to the "native" compiler and got a somewhat running system.

I solved my problems. If you get this error when you try to initialize
the database you should check the PGLIB environment variable. It should
refer to the right version.
Another tip : flex 2.5.4 and bison 1.25 should be installed. Without them
