[ADMIN] User Database Authentication via PHP?

Hello! Do anyone of you know how I can get PHP to be able to pass the user and password info over to the postgresql server to authenticate the user and allow him to be able to access the database server? I couldn't quite figure out how to let PHP do that so if anyone managed to get it working or

Hiya! But won't this be a bit tedious if you have a large postgresql system with many databases with many tables and user accounts? Won't you need to assign a lot of rights everytime you create a new table / database? Shouldn't there be a more safe way of doing such things like say by default, o

Hello everyone! I have just installed the a/m on my RedHat Linux 5.2 system and is trying out the security aspects of the program and couldn't quite figure something out. Maybe someone can help me with my problems? I installed all the postgresql .rpms files that came with the RHL 5.2 . Basciall
