DB created under 7.4.2 will work with 7.4.5, but I thing You should
backup your data before upgrading to a new version.

You have to either uninstall the old postgres RPM before upgrading or remove
all the old postgres executables out of the /usr/bin directory ... they are
causing it ... had the same problem just a few days ago ...

But ... the file I am sending you should work like a charm ... just remember
to be sure it is executable when you copy it into the directory by typing
chmod a+x postgresql

Oh .. a PS ... you wil
The file you need is postdrv.exe ... I will check where I got it just now,
but you just install that and it works like a charm with 6.4.2 ;-) I think
if you check the documentation in the doc directory you will get the site
where you need to download it ... or perhaps it is in the FAQ ... I think
