We have just released two Psycopg versions: 2.5.5 containing a few bug fixes and 2.6 introducing some new features.
The main new feature in Psycopg 2.6 is the support for the large objects 64 bits API, allowing access to large objects of more than 2GB size. Note that the feature is only supported on 64 bits clients and with at least PostgreSQL 9.3 server and client library. I wish to thank all the people who have contributed to these releases, and especially Blake Rouse and the MAAS Team for the development of the large objects 64 bits API support. A further note for the packagers: the Psycopg 2.6 source tarball doesn't contain the HTML rendered documentation anymore: you will find Makefile targets to easily build it. ---- Psycopg is the most popular PostgreSQL adapter for the Python programming language. At its core it fully implements the Python DB API 2.0 specifications. Several extensions allow access to many of the features offered by PostgreSQL. -- Sent via pgsql-announce mailing list (pgsql-announce@postgresql.org) To make changes to your subscription: http://www.postgresql.org/mailpref/pgsql-announce
