Cool. I missed that. :-)

Implementing NULLS FIRST and NULLS LAST appears like another
challenging step to getting window functions wrapped up. Has your
research lead you to any ideas on what your strategy for NULLS FIRST
and NULLS LAST likely would be?

Could this be a good starting point for SQL:2003 Window functions as
now the work on SQL:2003 statistical functions are done? As
experienced postgres developers what would be your roadmap to implement
window functions?

[HACKERS] DTrace?

2005-11-07 Thread karen hill
I skimmed the thread "Spinlocks, yet again: analysis
and proposed patches". Wouldn't Solaris 10's DTrace
be helpful in seeing what's going on? It seems DTrace
was meant for these types of problems.

[HACKERS] PostgreSQL roadmap for 8.2 and beyond.

2005-10-15 Thread karen hill
Autovacuum is getting put into the 8.1 release which
is awesome. A lot of us are wondering now that
PostgreSQL has all the features that many of us need,
what are the features being planned for future
releases?

What do you see for 8.2 and beyond? What type of
features are you devs planning for 9.0? It would be
good if you could put up a place on your site so we
mortals can drool over up-coming postgresql features.
