I think we should have both.

People need an exact date so they can discuss in their organisations the
consequences of not upgrading. Without a date, those discussions become
more complicated because it sounds like our intentions are unclear and
may be subject to change.

says that we EOL 7.4 and 8.0 July 2010. Does that mean July 1st or
July 31st?
