I like it! My idea for pgl (PicoGUI launcher) had been to make it use 'plugins' compiled in, for things like a toolbar, root menu, clock, battery meter, etc. A programming interface like this would also allow programs to embed themselves in others, for things like screensaver previews or even something like OLE.
