Hi folks

Matt, how the heck are ya? Unknown to you, you played a big role in me getting around my problem.

Hi Mark,

I had similar experiences - but each time if I backed up to a previous
snapshot it would start working again. The entire dist-helio-2 is rather
delicate and there is lots that can go wrong. Are you keeping it all in CVS?
I have a working snapshot here and if you have your stuff in cvs I can try
checking it out and flashing it to the helio.

I think I screwed up the flash tools on my linux box. When I remembered dt had a Dos/Win incarnation, I went looking for it and found it on Matt's ftp site.

Folks, if anyone else is using the Helio pda, take a look at Matt's ftp site. He's archived just about everything Helio related.

BTW Matt, let me know if you've got to take that server down. I'd want to keep copies of all that stuff.

Matt do you or anyone else have the stuff used to build a working Helio rom? Not the tools to make the image, the files that actually make up the image. If so, could you send them to me? I'd like to link the keyboard app and my pim app with it and do some further development.

Anyway, dos/win dt lets me flash roms to the Helio. So I'm back to my original problem - trying to build a Helio version of pgserver and cli_c from the picogui-0.43 source.

On the Helio, my recompiled pgserver/cli_c won't start. I turned on "debugging on init" in the profile and executing pgserver at the shell prompt says:

pgserver_init:
operating system initpgserver_init:
configuration filespgserver_init:
command linepgserver_init:
error message tablepgserver_init:
input drivers*** ERROR (BADPARAM) : Nonexistant input driver

What's the input driver for the Helio? There are none checked in profile.helio.

Also, CONFIG_OS_POSIX was missing from pgserver/profiles/profile.helio. What else is missing? Did the profile file format change and is that screwing up the archived profiles?

Mark
