compilation for distribution, "Aeolian-Vocalion Hill and Dale Records
(1918-1920)." It will document all 387 of Aeolian's known vertical-cut releases
between 1918 and 1920 (recordings made ca. July 1917 to November 1919

with an ALL BLACK cygnet horn. The bell in the video is the one for sale but
the wood grained elbow has been replaced with an original black elbow.

one has a step down where the horn connects and the other does not.
also i have a 1901 edison spring motor with a north american top and and
mandrel.

My notes differ from the numbers you had. I have Standard S#51888 as having
clips but by S#52180 shipped without them but having the set screw.
I have often said that Edison machines were assembled but not on a perfectly
inline assembly line. Early parts at the bottom of a parts bin
