Could some of the groups technical folks suggest who currently offers the
best quality reproduction mainsprings for a conventional Victrola?

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. I'm familiar with most
of
the common sources.

[Phono-L] Phono-L ad

2012-10-18 Thread Bill Feiner
Hi; I wanted to post this on Phono-L, this is the first time that I have ever
posted. I hope that this is the correct procedure.
Victrola XVIII Rear Motor Access Door Needed- I have acquired a Victrola
XVIII that is missing the rear door behind the
motor. I also need the needle holder. This part can also come from a Victrola
XVII, as they are both the same. The rear
door however is unique to the XVIII because of the moulding on the door. The
dimensions of the opening is 18” wide
and 11 5/8'” high. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bill Feiner

[Phono-L] Source for springs

In addition to Ron Sitko, Dwayne Wyatt at Wyatt's Musical Americana is a good
source.  I believe both fellows will do the spring repair if you prefer.  Jerry

send the dimensions, I'll check it.

Hi Randy; The opening in the rear of the cabinet is 18 wide and 11 5/8
high. The correct
board has the trim on it that matches the rest of the cabinet, but I would
be interested in

a plain back board until I can find the correct back.
Thanks, Bill
