But seriously if you can send a good bunch of pictures some of us might be able
to help. Wires and the location where they connect, jacks or connectors,
switches, any labeling or badges, etc.

Geometry is wrong for it to play verticals in a lateral pickup. Do a search on
“Hughes Stylus” for an example of something that does.
