I saw a strange horn in an antique shop yesterday. It was around 24" long
maybe, with a conical section mated to a paneled section. There were two
suspension points, one a hollow rivet-reinforced hole a the opening end of
one of the panels and the other point, two like-riveted holes close together
on a panel but positioned nearer the center of the horn. The really
strange part to me was the end you would attach to the reproducer. It was
not a simple cylinder to which you would apply a rubber hose or tizit. It
was heavier, with a brass end that looked like it might lock into something
else. Wish I'd had the presence of mind to take a picture. Does this ring
a bell with anyone?

Thanks,

Ron L
