The docs on mysqli_stmt_bind_param are a little sparse. I'm looking to
bind params that are date formats and bitfields. Should they just be
strings and integers respectively, or are there other formatting
codes?

Work
function call to mysqli_stmt_bind but to
no avail. Any ideas? This is going to be extremely annoying, to the
point of useless, otherwise.

PS: the only thing i can think of so far is to use extract on the
array, and then switching on the number of elements in the array to a
sequence of
ssing in a match.
does mysqli_connect offer some facility for mitigating the cost of
connections under the hood, or is it only designed for lower volume
servers? or is there some other way of caching a db_link across
multiple requests that I am not aware of?
