I have 2 tables, job_stats (the job statuses) and works which are job items
I want to count the number of jobs not completed , however I also want
all the statuses, ie even a status with a zero value..
select job_stats.job_stat_id, job_stat_color,
concat_ws(': ', job_stats.job_stat_code, job_stat
After going to the command prompt I have done exactly this:
c:\>cd C:\mysql\bin
c:\mysql\bin>mysql -uroot -p
mysql>SET PASSWORD FOR [EMAIL PROTECTED]('mypassword');
I get the following familiar message:
You have an error on your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to

Is there a space between PASSWORD and the opening parenthesis? There
shouldn't be, if there is. Otherwise, your statement worked without errors
for me on MySQL Version 4.0.16.max-nt.
Make sure that you are logged in as root.

How embarrassing.
Yes I must have accidentally deleted the table.

Recently, I had to format my db server and when I re-attached the database,
I noticed some unusal behavior. I have some fields in certain tables with a

I entered select user();
It outputs:
Th cols are likely defined as CHAR not as VARCHAR. CHAR cols will pad out
the length of the value to the full width of the column...change the type to

I have a textarea field that will allow users to copy
and paste text into , it might be plain text, or it
might come out of word.
I'm wondering what type of validations I should
perform on this field ?
Any suggestions / ideas ?
Thank you,
Stuart

I've got a working JavaScript menu system; I wanted a PHP script that
runs once/day to generate the tree structure in the JavaScript config
file. That way each time I added a page to the database, it would be
automatically added to the menu system.
I'm still interested in the
