Hi Hermann, This has been covered many times on this list, but the basics are this:
PHP retrieves all information and outputs it into a javascript array - this way all combinations are available to javascript. Then when the user selects a list from the menu, javascript determines the contents of the second drop-down box. There are a few examples around on the net - Google is your friend.
