There was a thread recently on php-dev about making php more shell friendly so people could more easily make non-web php applications. One idea was to make a new sapi interface and I think that the work you have done in ext/pcntl could be a good starting point to a sapi-shell. I'm willing to contribute in this regard because I find that php has a great potential in that area. Any comments?
