[PHP-DEV] Debugger protocol

2001-03-20 Thread Varun Shoor

Hi there,
 I have been
working on an Open Source IDE for PHP but from what i heard in the #php the
debugger protocol is no more open in PHP4? And only binaries are distributed and
above all it is illegal to reverse engineer the protocol. Why in the world is
this done?... I mean PHP is supposed to be open, right?.. The protocol was open
in PHP3 but now i hear that it is closed.. isnt this a perfect monoply?..
Everyone knows an IDE is nothing without a good debugger and if i cant add it
then all of my time devoted to this thing will go waste.. Someone care to tell
me a way out?
Regards,

Varun Shoor

[PHP-DEV] PHPCompiler

2001-03-15 Thread Varun Shoor

Hi all,
 After numerous
beta tests i have released my first application for PHP ie PHPCompiler. It isnt
truly a compiler but a encoder which encodes your PHP Scripts to window
executables by tacking the source at end of EXE and storing it with the same.
Both the source and binary versions are available at www.deskcode.com/phpcompiler and
it is currently compiled under PHP 4.0.5RC1. If anyone would like to help me out
on this project then please email me back i would be glad to respond. Thank you!
:)

- Varun Shoor (Plot)PS: The compiler is
coded in MFC because i wanted to release this ASAP

[PHP-DEV] The new design

2001-03-08 Thread Varun Shoor

This is really not the good approach... when couple
of people in #php were talking about a new redesigned PHP site, i was expecting
a much better.. and good looking site not like one that is up currently. I miss
almost every feature.. those quickref things.. those DHTML popups... that sweet
layout... almost everything. Please restore the layout to the old one or make a
better one. Thanks
