We developed under 4.0.0 using non-persistent connection to the PostgreSQL database. After upgrading PHP to 4.0.4 there were some abnormally errors. E.g. to display a page we used 8 or 10 connections. After 3 or 4 connections we got an "unable to connect database" error.
