[PHP-DEV] Is the command line php.exe under Win32 supposed to work at all?

Just built from CVS and trying to run this script generates the shown
output:

Script (test.php):

<?php
        $i = 1000;

        echo ("$i\n");
?>

Output:
====================================
C:\php4\Release_TS>php -f test.php

        $i = 1000
         ($i\n)

Something is screwy here...
