Well, I did it :o) I am using IIS and got it right, thank you for all who helped me in my hour of need.
The answer to the question was where i am placing the files (not in the root folder), just did it on the PC with IIS and there it was in all its glory! Now i am going to try it on the laptop with apache with all the original installations and configurations i was having trouble with. Don't suppose this will be the last you hear of me as i will need more help no doubt.
