I have an Oracle client on a webserver talking to an Oracle server through Oracle networking and the PHP OCI8 interface. When an error occurs on the server, the 'message' that OCIError receives on the client is Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-03113 This seems to happen with the Oracle "Programmers" client install. There was only one client install that had more stuff than "Programmer" and I think that was "Administrator". Why am I not getting proper Oracle error 'message's on the client when the Oracle server has an error? Is this normal, or did I do something wrong?
